These Terms of Use (“Agreement”) govern your access to and participation in the Mahoning Valley Book Bazaar (“MVBB,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), including our website, live events, vendor marketplace, panels, and related services.

By purchasing tickets, registering as a vendor, participating in panels, or attending MVBB, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not participate in MVBB activities.

1. Event Participation & Eligibility

By attending or participating in MVBB:

• You confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent/guardian.
• You agree to behave in a respectful, lawful, and professional manner.
• You agree not to engage in harassment, disruption, or unsafe conduct.

2. Marketplace & Vendor Structure

MVBB operates as a centralized marketplace of independent vendors, including:

• Book sellers and resellers
• Authors and publishers
• Literary organizations and advocacy groups
• MVBB-operated merchandise tables

Important:

• Vendors operate as independent businesses.
• MVBB does not control vendor inventory, pricing, or transactions conducted at vendor tables.
• Any disputes, purchases, or agreements made with vendors are strictly between you and that vendor.

3. Vendor Responsibilities

If you are a vendor, exhibitor, or participant:

• You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws (sales tax, licensing, etc.).
• You must provide accurate descriptions of your products and services.
• You are solely responsible for handling transactions, refunds, and customer service.
• You agree not to sell prohibited, illegal, or infringing materials.

MVBB reserves the right to remove vendors or restrict participation at its discretion.

4. Tickets, Payments & Sales

Event Tickets

• Tickets are non-refundable.
• Tickets may not be resold or transferred without authorization.

MVBB Merchandise

• Purchases made directly through MVBB (e.g., event merchandise) are subject to our Sales & Refund Policy, incorporated into this policy by reference.
• All sales are final.

Vendor Purchases

• MVBB is not responsible for vendor sales, returns, or disputes.

5. Panels, Programming, & Scheduling

MVBB may host:

• Author panels
• Publisher discussions
• Workshops and literary sessions

We reserve the right to:

• Modify schedules, speakers, or programming at any time
• Cancel sessions due to unforeseen circumstances

No guarantees are made regarding specific appearances or panel content.

6. Intellectual Property

MVBB Content

• All MVBB branding, logos, materials, and event content are owned by MVBB or used under license.
• You may not reproduce or distribute these without written permission.

Vendor & Participant Content

• Vendors, authors, and exhibitors retain ownership of their materials.
• MVBB is not responsible for infringement claims related to vendor content.

Event Media

• By attending MVBB, you consent to being photographed or recorded.
• MVBB may use event photos/videos for marketing and promotional purposes.

7. Assumption of Risk & Liability

By attending MVBB, you acknowledge:

• You participate at your own risk.
• MVBB is not liable for personal injury, loss, theft, or damage to property.
• MVBB does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of vendor products.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MVBB is not responsible for:

• Vendor disputes or transactions
• Lost, stolen, or damaged personal items
• Damages to person or property - indirect, incidental, or consequential

8. Privacy

Your use of MVBB services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this Agreement.

9. Changes to Terms and Severability

MVBB reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Any provisions of this Agreement nullified or ruled illegal and unenforceable by a court have no effect on the remainder of the Agreement.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.

11. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute:

• Parties agree to attempt resolution through informal negotiation or mediation first.
• If unresolved, disputes will be handled in the appropriate courts located in Mahoning County, Ohio.
